The Battle Belongs To The Lord

“Thus says the Lord to you; ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.’” 2 Chronicles 20:15b

Hi again friends,

With the wars and rumors of wars, gas prices, and all the other craziness swirling around us, that verse for me is a good reminder. It’s not up to us; “the battle belongs to the Lord.” I was struck recently that this is what the children of Israel forgot where they failed in the wilderness. They had seen God’s mighty work and miraculous provision. But when they heard about the giants in the promised land, they said no way! We can’t beat them! And they were right. What they forgot is that it wasn’t up to them to defeat the giants – that was God’s job and they just needed to move forward.

And that’s what we’re doing here at Truth Alive – lots of exciting stuff.

This month, I will be traveling a number of exciting places including Jenison Bible Church, Merson Church, and Bethel Baptist Church in South Haven.

We are working on several new additions to the mail club. Stay tuned…

In early April, we’re having a round table meeting with a great crew of creative people who are helping us here, to discuss ideas and planning for the future of Truth Alive.

To be honest, I’m a little behind on the new summer series, I Love The Bible, but it looks like it’s finally coming together. I’m very excited to use this series and help kids with how to get into God’s Word!

We have a full summer of VBS and camps – new places and the places we know and love. More on that later.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not fight according to the flesh; for the weapons of our warfare are not of flesh, but mighty through God for the pulling down of strongholds.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-4

As always, we’d love to hear from you!
